Title: Security Support/ Physical Security

Level: C

Location: Salt Lake City, UT

Hours: Fridays/Saturdays/Sundays (6 AM- 6 PM) & Mondays (4 PM - 8 PM) This position does qualify for Shift Differential pay.

Relocation is not offered for this role.

The Physical Security Shift Lead is responsible for executing the Physical Security operations per policies and procedures and overseeing the activities of the subcontractors on their shift to ensure operational excellence and promote a secure environment. This position primarily works in the Physical Security Command Center.

This includes the following essential job functions:

* Operation of organizational, security, and facilities systems
* Monitoring and interpreting information from available systems to coordinate appropriate responses and forecast needs
* Basic troubleshooting and repair of systems in use
* Recognizing and responding to emergency situations
* Interacting with individuals and groups to ensure compliance with organizational procedures and practices
* Communicating and coordinating with response personnel to remedy identified issues
* Preparing and submitting a variety of reports
* Directing, coaching, and instructing others in the execution of security and organizational procedures
* Tactful and discretionary communication with others
* Initiating action when the recognition of problems/ potential problems occur

These essential job functions require:

* Operating a computer and other office equipment including a phone, copier, and printer throughout each day.
* Operating specialized security and building management systems including access control, alarm, radio, digital video, intrusion detection, fire system monitoring, and similar systems.
* Working in 24'x12' office shared with one other worker routinely and occasionally more workers.
* Moving around the office and outside (year round) throughout the day, including walking, bending, reaching above shoulder level, and occasionally moving up to 50 lbs.
* Ability to operate small and large-capacity (up to 15 passengers) vehicles, occasionally but up to 90%
* Frequently corresponding with others regarding security and organizational policies and practices. Must be able to communicate accurate information.
* Knowledge of Security and ability to learn and perform our security processes.
* Ability to routinely handle emergency or time-sensitive high-stress situations.
* Ability to work in shifts, routinely up to 12 hours per day and overtime as required by operational needs

Qualifications:

Active and current SECRET, or higher, US Security clearance

6 years relevant professional experience and training; Military, Law Enforcement, or Civilian

2 years experience with monitoring systems

Must have a current, unexpired, valid US Drivers License and a clean driving record

Additional Preferred Qualifications:

Experience working 12 hour night shifts

Experience working as a Solo (single), or small group, security
