Job Description

Chases Authentication Product Group is responsible for digital identity verification and Omni-channel authentication assurance across all our customer interaction channels: online, mobile, branches, call centers, and third-party aggregation services. With billions of customer interactions through these channels on a regular basis, one of the critical services we provide is to analyze and distill significant insights to continuously improve our products and services.

In this role, you will be leading the Authentication Machine Learning Services team, comprised of data scientists and Machine Learning engineers, which leverages Big Data and AI/Machine Learning tools and techniques to help provide the highest degree of authentication assurance to vastly improve customer experience. Responsibilities includes but not limited to:

* Provide technical and managerial leadership to the team that has been working on one of the most innovative initiatives leveraging AI/ML on a very large, diverse data set
* Collaborate with product management, user experience, platform engineering, customer security, risk management, and other partner organizations in discovery and requirements definition
* Be the thought leader in framing business problems into analytical projects and execution plans
* Develop best practices for conducting research, developing hypotheses, identifying and collecting data, and presenting findings in clear and precise insights
* Keep abreast of advancements in technology and industry trends in the AI/ML space to be able to leverage the right stack for any given problem
* Leverage agile practices in continuously improving our delivery quality and velocity
* Lead the team in designing/developing/training/validating Machine Learning models and deploy them to production; continuously monitor prediction efficacy and iteratively improve the model performance

This role requires a wide variety of strengths and capabilities, including:

* BS/BA degree or equivalent experience in a quantitative discipline such as Statistics, Applied Math, Computer Science, or Data Science
* Proven track record in leading medium-to-large data science programs with heavy use of Machine Learning tools and techniques
* Ability to lead large, collaborative teams to achieve organizational goals and passionate about continuously refining and developing our innovative culture
* Strong knowledge of industry wide technology trends and best practices in AI/ML
* Hands-on experience with quantitative methods, AI/ML algorithms and open source libraries
* Broad knowledge of software design principles and prior experience establishing training platforms, model deployment strategies, and serving guidelines; experience with AWS ML tools is a plus
* Detailed knowledge of Python, Hadoop, Spark, SQL, etc.
* Demonstrable experience with machine learning APIs and computational packages such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, Keras, Scikit-Learn, Pandas, NumPy, XGBoost, etc.
* Ability to communicate complex information lucidly across all levels of the organization
