Job Description

The Defense Logistics Agency Enterprise Service Desk (DLA ESD) program is looking for AI Software Developers to support the implementation of a cognitive AI platform integrated with a COTS ITSM solution. One of the main goals of DLA ESD is to reduce the reliance on live agents/technicians within the service desk through innovation. As the client's single vendor integrator, GDIT is deploying leading edge technology to support DLA's business model.

GDIT is recruiting AI software developers to help develop cognitive use case solutions in our AI tool, IPSoft Amelia. As an AI software developer, you will work collaboratively with an agile team of developers to implement and integrate the capabilities of the cognitive agent. Although experience using AI platforms is desired, GDIT recognizes the technology is relatively new. If you have programming experience and a genuine interest in learning this technology, we'd like to speak with you.

Required Skills:
* Front End Skills: Single Page Applications (ReactJS, JavaScript, TypeScript, CSS, HTML), Responsive Design
* Back End Skills: Microservices, REST, Node.js, JVM (Java - Spring, Spring Boot, Groovy, etc.), Database (Postgres, MySQL, etc.).
* Build Tools: maven, gradle, grunt, gulp, git, tactical and strategic improvements to large scale Java/J2EE/ products
* Platform knowledge: Docker
* Strong understanding of DevOps and software/application development processes
* Experience with GitLab, Jenkins, Nexus, and other DevOps/Continuous Integration tools
* Formulates and defines system scope and objectives through research and fact-finding to develop or modify moderately complex information systems
* Translate software requirements into working and maintainable solutions within the existing application frameworks
* Implement the product's lifecycle: Design, development, quality, deployment and maintenance
* Continuously contribute to team performance improvement and collaboration
* Ability to solve problems creatively and effectively
* Experience working in an Agile/Scrum development process
* Demonstrated ability to creatively solve technical problems
* Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related technical discipline and 5+ years of experience , or the equivalent combination of education, technical training, or work/military experience.
* Interim or Active Secret clearance required

Desired Skills:
* Experience with IPsoft Amelia or other AI platforms

The likely salary range for this position is $108,000 - $162,000, this is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary; rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
