Job Description
* Analyzes customer requirements and provides solutions to a variety of technical problems of moderate complexity.
* Performs maintenance and upgrade of networks including servers, routers, switches, firewalls, remote access systems, and networks.
* Maintains network integrity and connectivity while ensuring compliance with policies and maintains system backup and recovery capability.
* Coordinates hardware and software acquisition.
* Creates plans and configures systems for data communication networks.
* Supports the design and build of hardware and software components for computer or telecommunications networks.
* Maintains current knowledge of relevant technology as assigned.
* DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS: BA/BS (or equivalent experience), 2+ years of experience
Requirements:
* Experience with Installation, configuration and maintenance of GDIT TACLANE and other crypto devices
* Understand the operation of network protocols and Firewall packet and proxy filters
* Bachelor's Degree from an accredited institute in an area applicable to this position and two years of relevant experience.An additional four years of relevant experience may be substituted for the bachelor's degree
* Must presently be 8570 compliant (IAT Level 2 preferred); must be 8570 compliant (IAT Level 2) by date of security indoctrination with any necessary continuing education (CE) for certification
