Testing Required:
A Senior Welder shall be capable of and may be required to perform various duties including:
All forms of welding.
Prerequisite:
1. New hires or transfers from outside of the T&SO bargaining unit must pass a qualifying assessment before being placed in the classification. (See negotiated Qualification / Assessment criteria.)
2. New hires or transfers into the Senior Welder classification shall receive ninety-five percent (95%) of the classified base rate of pay in effect at the time of hire/transfer for the first six months of employment in said position. After successful completion of a six-month probationary period, said employees shall receive 100% of the then base rate of pay in effect for said classification.
3. Must pass a 12 butt and 12 branch test utilizing an SMAW process. Post welding test, specimen straps will be cut/pulled and analyzed for weld quality determination prior to an offer of employment
4. This job has extensive out of town travel requirements.
5. Must work in all inclement weather conditions.
6. Must be available for emergency call out type situations.
7. Must have a valid MI drivers license associated with our DOT random drug testing policy.
