Job Role and Responsibilities:

VMware is looking for a Program Manager to join the Americas Inside Sales team in Austin, Texas. This individual will work with Sales, Enablement, Operations, Finance and a variety cross-functional leadership teams to create, deploy, enable, optimize, and manage our NEST (New Employee Sales Training) Program for our Commercial business. This position will require managerial expertise and will be the hiring manager of the newest Inside Sales Reps and/or Inside Sales Associates and provide them with development & leadership until official sales territories are assigned. Minimizing ramp time for new employees through sales best practices development, managing the headcount navigation on a quarterly basis and measuring success through sales KPIs will be key elements of this position. Effective leadership of this program will yield better results & experiences for our employees, customers, partners and the business.

* Be an enthusiastic team player and self-starter who can manage through influence without damaging relationships
* Be unafraid to ask questions, take risks, or explore new ways of doing things
* Designing, deploying, and managing efficient sales development programs across several sales segments, yielding additional pipeline growth
* Conducting data analyses to track campaign success, measure sales productivity, and inform strategic decisions for program optimization
* Creating and maintaining metrics and reports that provide timely updates to the leadership team with regards to sales and enablement activities, effectiveness, and business impact
* Leveraging tools and resources that prepare the sales team for upcoming events, campaigns and sales motions
* Evaluating new technologies and add-on applications to improve and optimize program performance and sales productivity
* Creating sales campaign, enablement, and internal communication collateral

Preferred Skills:

* Project Management, Sales Leadership, Sales Training & Coaching
* 3+ years technology sales in a high-volume inside sales environment may be considered
* Experience with CRM and enterprise caliber sales automation tools, ideally SalesForce.com, Eloqua, etc.
* Advanced Excel and Power Point knowledge
* Bachelors degree
