We are seeking an experienced Emergency Room Registered Nurse to join our team! With the addition of our new Free-Standing ED in Leander, we now have two locations to serve our communitys urgent care needs.
Located minutes from downtown Austin, Cedar Park Regional Medical Center is a level IV Designated Trauma Center with more than 600 healthcare professionals working together to provide inpatient, outpatient, surgical and emergency care for Cedar Park and the greater Austin region.
Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Emergency Room Registered Nurse to join our team! With the addition of our new Free-Standing ED in Leander, we now have two locations to serve our communitys urgent care needs.
Responsibilities
* Evaluates assigned patients and plans, implements and documents nursing care
* Assists physicians during examinations and procedures
* Performs various patient tests and administers medications within the scope of practice of the registered nurse
* Promotes patients' independence by establishing patient care goals and teaching patients and families to understand conditions, medications, and self-care skills
* Relies on experience and judgment to perform a variety of tasks and accomplish goals
Qualifications
* Minimum of an Associates Degree in Nursing (ADN) from an accredited RN program. Bachelors Degree in Nursing (BSN) preferred
* Current license to practice as a Registered Nurse (RN) in Texas, or license with a compact state required upon hire
* American Heart Association (AHA) approved Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required upon hire. Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certifications required within 90 days of hire. TNCC required within one year of hire
* Minimum of two (2) years of RN experience in a hospital emergency room desired
* Charge experience a plus
