Job Description

The Wholesale Credit Risk Program Officer is a seasoned professional role. Applies in-depth disciplinary knowledge, contributing to the development of new techniques and the improvement of processes and work-flow for the CCAR process within the Wholesale Credit Workstream. Integrates subject matter and industry expertise within the CCAR frameworks. Requires in-depth understanding of how various stakeholders collectively integrate within the sub-function as well as coordinate and contribute to the objectives of the function and overall business. Requires good analytical and documentation skills in order to filter, prioritize and validate potentially complex and dynamic material from multiple stakeholders. Strong communication and diplomacy skills are required. Work and performance of all teams in the area are directly affected by the performance of the individual.

Responsibilities:

* Support the execution of project plans for both the Annual (CCAR/DFAST) Submission and quarterly CCAR. Work with the various project leads and other stakeholders to drive the various sub initiatives/ project activities under CCAR/DFAST.
* Manage end to end processes such as End User Computing and monitoring of Risk Controls through collaboration with various stakeholders.
* Management of the Managers Controls Assessment process end to end with stakeholders through active review, monitoring and review and challenge of controls
* Participate and engage with stakeholders on the management of process flows and narratives within the workstream.
* Actively engage with Issue Remediation process that will be used to proactively manage the timely remediation and closure of workstream remediation plans.
* Attend or serve as a member of CCAR related Governance meetings and coordinate agenda, materials, meeting minutes and follow-up items for this Group.
* Participate in Workstream portfolio deep dives, supporting the workstream for various enhancement initiatives taken to enhance model frameworks in response to Regulatory or Self- Identified feedback.
* Comprehensive understanding of industry best practice and regulatory expectations on model development. Fully understand SR11-7, and abreast with the latest CCAR guidelines and expectations.

Job Qualifications

* 4-5 years project management experience in risk and ability to partner with Business & Technology stakeholders to ensure successful delivery of project goals.
* 3+ years of experience with wholesale credit in either a lending, credit risk management, or loss forecasting/modelling role. Understanding of core risk and/or finance areas is a plus (e.g., pre-provision net revenue, credit risk, Basel II and Basel III, VaR, economic capital, stress testing, etc.)
* Strong understanding of risk and controls with experience of review and challenge of other stakeholders.
* Familiarity with Banking Concepts and CCAR clearly a plus, but if not, sufficient expertise in managing a similar stress testing regime/ projects or proven ability to quickly come up to speed in managing a complex financial reporting process of comparable complexity to CCAR/DFAST.
* Should have Excellent proficiency in Microsoft Office particularly Access (creating data tables), Excel (metrics and data analysis, project plans), PowerPoint (presentation decks), and Word (writing and editing procedural and technical documentation).
* Good understanding of wholesale credit products including structures, industry mechanics, risks, and analytical tools is required.
* Exceptional oral communication and writing skills, with ability to synthesize complex concepts, translate into user-friendly language, and effectively present in text or slide format.
* Proven ability to interact credibly with stakeholders in other control functions such as finance, audit, legal and compliance, as well as senior leaders across a large firm.
* Strong analytical skills with the ability to identify and communicate root causes and trends.
* Ability to quickly assimilate and analyze large amounts of information.
* Strong time management skills with the ability to successfully handle competing priorities.

* Bachelor's degree/University degree or equivalent experience
* Master's degree preferred
