Job Description:

The Lean Consultant (Black Belt) supports, augments and leads lean continuous improvement activities within the transactional/service areas supporting CI Services (GASD), Global Construction and Infrastructure (GCI), FSD CFO Organizations . In this role, you will assist others in removing non-value added activities (NVA) and increasing customer value add (VA). Coaching, teaching and developing others to use the lean tools, techniques and methodologies will be critical. Tap into unused employee creativity. Eliminate waste in every process and drive the organization towards standard work. You will work with the Business Unit leadership to improve critical process to achieve business goals. Leveraging knowledge of 6 Sigma, Caterpillar Production System (CPS), Change Management, CliftonStrengths to build Lean Culture that will assist in effectively and efficiently supporting clients. LEAN Black Belts should have subject matter expertise in one of the following areas; Accounting , Business Administration, Finance or Product Support.

This position you will support and assist lean continuous improvement activities using LEAN, 6 Sigma and/or other project management methodologies and deploying change management as part of the project management responsibilities. LEAN Black Belts provide progress updates to mid-level leadership and value stream owners on their continuous improvement progress.

Incumbents will provide supplemental coaching and support to the leadership team by exposing opportunities, leveraging existing processes and systems like Lean, CPS and 6 Sigma, evaluating risk management and making recommendations for strategies to fully engage the team in driving the needed cultural changes to achieve sustainable Lean capabilities in pursuit of business objectives.

Continuous Improvement activities will enable improvements within Service BUs by reducing rework, improve quality, improve ability to step change and surpass current service levels by not increasing cost and improving capacity.

Lean Black Belts will assist capability building by assisting in Lean training execution and development within the Service BUs. They will be challenged by Leaders and subject matter experts as they provide recommendations for the development of business solutions for challenging, complex, and sometimes ambiguous, business problems. They must have the ability to build and maintain credibility with the Leadership Team and have the communication skills to articulate clearly to influence leaders with confidence and humility, providing direct feedback and clear communications to develop a shared vision of Lean capabilities needed. In addition, they must be able to describe the business strategies, processes and activities that will move the business from the current state to the end state.

Basic Qualifications:

* Bachelors Degree, preferably in Accounting, Business Administration, and Finance
* Experience in leading a team in a transactional/service environment
* 15 plus years of professional experience in Accounting, Business Administration, or Finance areas
* 3+ years of Previous Supervisory Experience
* Solid project management and team leadership skills
* Strong communication skills
* Extremely agile quick to embrace needed changes
* Leadership courage

Top Candidates Will Also Have:

* Masters Degree in Business Administration
* Experience leading a global team
* Experience as a Change Master, 6 Sigma BB, CPS BB
* Certified Project Management Professional
* Subject Matter Expertise in at least one of the following areas:
* Accounting
* Business Administration
* Finance
* Human Resources.

* The location for this position is Mossville, IL
