JOB SUMMARY: Will assign work and instruct co-workers on safe and proper operation of equipment as required. Help in technical discussions with the engineering and safety personnel within the facility. Will assure the availability of materials and tools necessary to complete all work, as well as maintaining records, reports, and data relating to such work. May perform any variety of maintenance tasks to maintain efficient completion of work orders and or PMs. Requires leadership and organizational skills, above average communication skills and the ability to promote a team atmosphere.

Job Duties/Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:

* Team Leads must arrive prior to shift start.

* Must understand all aspects of maintenance functions electrical, hydraulic, mechanical plumbing and pneumatic.

* Required to have a basic high level understanding of the technical aspects of the processes and flow for the entire facility.

* Translate the direction set by the Maintenance Manager to task assignments for each Team Member for the overall maintenance priorities for the facilities MCA/MHA/MDC.

* Must be both a practitioner and teacher of fundamental CPS principles and committed to their successful implementation. They are responsible for continually looking for and identifying WASTE.

* Must be able to handle the pressure of production requirements while maintaining a positive working relationship with the Group Manager, Section Manager and team members on the line, as well as with their peers, and their manager.

* Team Leads must be able to communicate effectively with all those in need of information, including Team Members, management, operations, quality groups, etc. They are required to report out on the areas status relative to plan.

* Identify safety, personnel, quality, and maintenance issues and bring them to the immediate attention of the Maintenance manager to minimize the given problems impact on their area of responsibility and potentially the Group, Maintenance, Facility Managers.

* Respond to and collaborate with downstream operations to resolve maintenance issues.

* Be capable of providing training apprentices in areas the EE needs to improve on and make sure the EE is making a progression in the skill level thru out the apprenticeship.

* Respond to customer calls in a timely manner

* Must have the ability to conduct Root Cause/Correction Action (RCCA) investigation via data driven part/process troubleshooting within the assigned area. They should be able to review, collect and analyze component, process and machine data in order to determine root cause.

* Responsible for generating and driving the implementation of all Continuous Improvement ideas owned by their assigned area.

* Team Leads must participate and/or lead Rapid Improvement Workshops for their assigned area of responsibility.

* Continually monitor and audit People, Quality, Velocity and Cost metrics for maintenance.

* Responsible for assisting in the creation, training and implementation of Standard Work processes and documentation.

* Must participate in or lead Process Improvement Dialogs in their area of responsibility.

* Must be able to communicate effectively with all those in need of information including Section Managers, Team Members, Operations Leadership and support groups as needed for the given area to meet performance requirements.

Basic Qualifications:

* Journeyman's card in a maintenance function

* Intermediate proficiency in one or more maintenance functions (electric, hydraulic, plumbing, pneumatic)
