The Associate Director of US Field Leadership Skills Training, reports into the Director WW Training; Leadership and Talent Development and will lead the design and development of best-in-class Field Leadership Skills Training for US. This role will partner closely with the Head of US Training, all US Business Unit Training Leads, commercial leadership, as well as fellow WW Training Leadership & Talent Development team members, to bring an integrated approach to leadership skills training design, development and execution. This role will focus on functional skill development for first and second line field managers, and other in scope audiences across the US Business. He or she will collaborate closely with key stakeholders across identified US BUs, and various matrix teams to develop learning initiatives that support business objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
* Create and execute best in class and cross BU learning strategy and field leadership skills training plan for the US business
* Provide strategic partnership to US Training Leadership and liaison with US Field Force Training teams to identify leadership development training needs across US
* Own the end to end process for all design and development of US field leadership skills training
* Collaborate and develop relationships with key stakeholders and leaders across the enterprise
* Establish process to collect and communicate feedback regularly and drive improvements
* Maintain industry knowledge of innovative learning solutions
* Manage, monitor and ensure performance to budget
* Ensure ongoing analysis of field training needs based on current and future requirements of the business and changing internal/external environment
* Liaison with applicable capability teams to further enhance/build field deliverables
* Build sustainability plans and solutions that reinforce desired skills and behaviors
* Create and execute measurement strategies, report training results , and business impact of training
* Ensure appropriate tracking and documentation of learning in accordance with company policy and local regulations while innovating new ways to increase efficiencies
* Coordinate training delivery with internal and external partners as needed
* Partner with BU Leads and Training points to help drive individual and cross BU efficiencies, leveraging and implementing centralized learning assets and programs
* Make recommendations for leadership training investment strategy based on training gaps
* Develop relationships with FLMs (DBMs District Business Managers) and SLMs (RBDs Regional Business Directors) across the business
* Drive awareness of EDGE programs and their impact
Skills and Knowledge Requirements:
* Demonstrated strong ability to effectively lead with matrix teams (Senior Leadership, Medical, Legal, Marketing, Sales, Compliance, Operations, Training) and lead without authority
* Intermediate knowledge of adult learning principles, learning design, and learner styles
* Training experience required
* Strong Communication, organizational and interpersonal skills
* Effective facilitation and presentation skills
* Ability to prioritize, manage and execute on multiple , complex projects simultaneously across a large matrix organization, and proven project management skills
* Ability to set objectives, monitor and achieve performance
* Ability to translate strategy into an executable tactical plan
Team Leadership
* Leads a team that may include 1 or more managers, coordinator and contractors, and leads without authority across all business units
* Enables the team to design, develop and deliver the highest quality skill and capability based solutions for the field teams to ensure effectiveness
* Continuously seeks to identify and leverage state-of-the-art learning methodologies that can accelerate skill and knowledge development of field teams
* Provides strategic direction and oversight to training manager (s)
* Develops and monitors metrics to evaluate the success of training and contract on an ongoing basis with stakeholders to ensure delivery meets business needs
Operational Leadership
* Monitors strict adherence to Medical, Regulatory, Legal (MRL) standards and guidelines, copyright laws, operational guidelines, local content approval and Code of Conduct across all activities of the learning team
* Collaborate with the Global Growth and Development HR L&D Department to align Field Force training initiatives with enterprise strategy and objectives
* Contribute to the business planning process which includes establishing a training plan, budget, resources, and investment strategy each year
Minimum Requirements:
* 4-year BA/BS degree
* Minimum of four years sales/field manager experience and minimum three years sales experience with a strong sales and behavioral performance history
* Significant and recent field experience
* Minimum of 1 year training experience
* Travel Required: Ability to travel up to 25% of time (Valid Passport Required)
