Planner/Scheduler
Grade B3
General Profile: The manufacturing NPI and LTB planner is responsible for all activities related to materials management. This ranges from reviewing the delivery forecasts, planning and validating material availability including day-to-day communication with management team. The Planner is considered as the subject matter expert in planning.
Responsibilities:
* Plan for new product (NPI) introductions from R&D to volume manufacturing.
* Execute, plan, and forecast last time buys LTB. Drive solutions to reduce and eliminate any delays and roadblocks to meet target ship dates.
* Planning NPI work orders according to forecast and customer orders. Set up routings in SAP and prepare and print production orders and pick lists.
* Verification of piece parts and subassembly availability.
* Reviews backlog to determine material shortages and capacity requirements to provide commitment feedback.
* Participate in daily/weekly NPI/production meetings and brings material availability to table.
* Schedule and host meetings with manufacturing partners, local or overseas, to reduce and eliminate shortages.
* Performs scheduling functions involved with Managing Work orders, coordinating products and materials movement through the manufacturing processes to completion and on time shipment.
* Run weekly RX meeting to go over current issues to find solutions
* Manage and maintain RX databases in Smartsheet
* Work with planning, engineering, and supply chain to streamline obsolescence solutions.
* Maintain last time buy planning BOM
* Monitor LTB runouts and highlight timing issues
* Work with Master Scheduling to maintain planning BOMs and avoid RX issues for upcoming requirements.
* Visual dashboard to see risk analysis for our different product lines based on how many RX parts they contain.
* Develop and execute process improvements/Metrics.
* Other tasks and responsibilities as assigned.
Key Qualifications and Skills:
* Proficient in SAP with an understanding of manufacturing, multi-layer BOMs and test process.
* Thorough understanding of MRP methodologies and all aspects of demand and supply management.
* Well organized, detail oriented, and able to multitask.
* Efficient user of Microsoft office tools such as excel, word, PowerPoint. must be able to create spreadsheets, charts and graphs, formulas, V-look ups, etc.
* Efficient in proactively identify areas of potential supply concerns, keeping in mind capacity constraints, shortages and communicates analysis/recommendations to all parties impacted.
* Flexible with work hours to meet and work with customers and suppliers in different geographic locations.
* Ability to work under tight deadlines and capability to self-prioritize workload.
