Shipping Laborer (Temporary Employment)

Precision Planting is growing rapidly and is looking for temporary production labor. We are looking for the following shifts Monday- Friday: 7:00 am- 3:30 pm

Pulls picks and places goods into their correct containers, preparing them for shipment using various equipment.

Responsibilities:

* Places finished goods into containers following specific instructions.
* Prepares and checks containers for damage.
* Verifies that correct items and quantities are pulled and packed
* Uses WMS Handheld to direct and process the picking function.
* Seals and labels containers as needed
* Moves completed packages for loading.
* Reviews packing lists.
* Marks and labels containers.
* Seals containers
* Operating pushcarts, pallet jacks, and electric pallet jacks
* Performs other duties as assigned.

Required Skills/Experience:

* 2 plus years in Precision agriculture, preferred
* Ability to be flexible and adept at shifting priorities and directions
* Must prioritize; have good time management skills; must be a self-starter and able to work both independently and as a team
* Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships within and outside the workgroup.
* Must be highly collaborative and demonstrate the ability to work in and with a team
* Must have excellent critical thinking skills
* Must be resourceful and proactive when problem-solving
* Ability to lift 50 lbs repeatedly and be on your feet for an entire shift
* At least 6 months of recent experience in a warehouse environment within the past 3 years.
* Ability to bend, twist and reach as the job requires

Desired Skills/Experience:

* Results-oriented
* Proficiency with basic Warehouse Management/Manufacturing software, Excel, Tableau, and Google Docs.
* Experience in a manufacturing environment
* Stand-up forklift experience or 2+ years of recent sit-down forklift experience preferred.
