Design Engineer Software - Network - CAN

AGCO is currently seeking a Design Engineer Software - Network - CAN to join our team in Jackson, MN.

Responsibilities of the Design Engineer Software - Network - CAN:

* Implement networking functionalities based on CAN
* Write robust code, including tests on different levels
* Apply automation techniques for automation of the whole software lifecycle process
* Design solutions with teams physically located in other countries
* Develop, debug, and maintain software
* Assist with system engineering to ensure a holistic system implementation
* Work in an agile setup within a scrum team

Required Qualifications of the Design Engineer Software - Network - CAN:

* Demonstrated proficiency in at least one programming language, preferably C/C++
* Knowledge of software engineering and best practices for the full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations
* Experience with typical Bus systems (CAN, Ethernet, 100baseTX / 100baseT1)
* Experience in designing network communication on CAN level
* English language fluency (written & verbal)

Preferred Qualifications of the Design Engineer Software - Network - CAN:

* Experience with SAE J1939 and ISOBUS
* Experience in designing and specifying high-speed in-vehicle networks (e.g. Ethernet, 100baseTX / 100baseT1)
* Experience and/or a strong interest in automotive & agricultural machinery
* Demonstrated proficiency in multiple programming languages
* Experience with PREEvision
* Experience in developing communication stacks)
* Experience in agile collaboration

Education of the Design Engineer Software -Network - CAN:

* Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field

Years of Business Experience:

* 3+ years of industry experience as a Software Engineer or Developer
