* Responsible for the ongoing independent oversight and challenge of day-to-day market risk management activities of BNY Mellons trading desks.

* Key elements of the role include limit setting, limit monitoring, product and process change assessment, new business approval and front office challenge.

* Daily tasks will include review and sign off of quantitative metrics including but not limited to Value-at-Risk, Stressed Value-at-Risk, Greeks and Stress Tests.

* Work closely with quant and modelling team to perform ad-hoc analysis including explaining drivers of VaR/SVaR, analyzing historical risk usage, and signing off on model changes.
t
* Use strong familiarity with the assigned business lines to anticipate, assess, monitor and report on market and strategic risks inherent to the assigned business line.
No direct reports, but provides guidance to more junior team members and may assign tasks, as needed.
Qualifications

* 3-7 years risk management experience and/or trading desk experience with a particular focus in Interest Rate Derivatives and FX Markets.
t
* Strong quantitative knowledge including derivative pricing, Greeks, P&L attribution and statistical analysis (ideally Master or PhD)

* Strong excel skills required; database programming (SQL and Python) beneficial as well
