Role Summary

The Ground Shop Equipment Technician is responsible for repair and maintenance of ground support equipment for the Maintenance & Engineering (M&E) division of Horizon Air (QX). As a member of the M&E division, this individual contributor role performs all functions in the repair and maintenance of ground equipment, which includes dismantling, repairing, assembly, and construction of machinery and mechanical devices. This is a union represented position.

Key Duties

* Performs preventative maintenance and repairs on Horizon Air Ground Support Equipment in accordance with manufacturer's manuals, company policies and procedures, GPM 2.2.7.24

* Responsible to troubleshoot, order parts, repair, maintain and document accomplishments of work on applicable work forms and records

* Travel to other QX station to perform work as required on various MX tooling, GSE equipment and other maintained items

* Perform all work in a prompt timely manner, adhering to all attendance reliability policies and procedures

* Ensure that a clean, safe, and orderly work area is always maintained

Job-Specific Experience, Education & Skills

Required

* Ability to interface with other departments and levels within maintenance, flight operations and customer services departments

* Demonstrated ability to organize and flow Ground Support Equipment (GSE) maintenance work in fast paced environment

* Ability to work flexible schedules to include weekends and holidays

* Analytical and logistical skills

* Ability to consistently lift 50 pounds

* Valid drivers license

* High school diploma or equivalent.

* Minimum age of 18.

* Authorization to work in the U.S.

Preferred

* ASE Certification

* Two years GSE maintenance experience on Aircraft Pushback Tugs, AC and DC power supply units, Hydraulic Mules, Aircraft Jacks and similar equipment

* 2 or more years of college.

Starting Rate

USD $17.03/Hr.
