Job Summary

AECOM is actively seeking an experienced, creative, highly talented Regional Safety Service Patrol Manager for immediate employment in Staunton, VA. This position will be a direct report to the Regional Operations Manager with direct communications with staff throughout their area of responsibility and upper-level management.

Responsibilities:

The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:

* Participates in SSP operations analysis, including measures of effectiveness, patrol route designations, manning requirements, reporting criteria and methodology, and evaluation of traffic needs, trends, and response

* Assess proficiency of SSP personnel to established standards

* Coordination and leadership of regional SSP staff

* Participate in region incident responder stakeholder meetings

* Oversee the regional SSP training program, perform quality audits as required

* Participate in resume review, interviews and recommendations for hire/advancement

* Coordinate with Control Room staff to determine the nature and location of incidents, organize priorities and coordinate the appropriate response

* Oversee adherence to PPE and safety protocols

* Report assigned vehicle/equipment maintenance/repair needs

* Coordinate with the Public Information Officer on issues related to citizen complaints and inquiries, public information dissemination, and media interaction

* Serve as point of contact for SSP related visits, tours, and media events

* Participation in After Action Meetings

* Serve as Regional SSP Subject Matter Expert

* Coordinate with Regional Operations Manager operational policy/guideline development and implementation

* Other ad-hoc initiatives as assigned by the Project Management Team

Minimum Requirements

* BA/BS in incident management, emergency management, business administration or related field or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education.

* 8 Plus years of transportation incident management or related field or industry

* Flexible schedule (relates to a 24/7/365 operation)

* Due to the nature of this work, qualified applicants who are offered a position must pass a pre-employment substance abuse test

* Must possess a valid drivers license

Preferred Qualifications

* Radio and phone communications experience

* Geographic familiarity with regional arterial and interstate road network

* Project management experience

* Competent in MS Office products

* Leadership and/or supervisory experience

* Effective in both written and oral communications

* Time management experience
