Role Summary

Manages a team of middle office professionals performing activities in the establishment, and maintenance, of Equity and Fixed Income (and other) security reference attributes, reconciliations and controls. Manages the team's daily workflow to ensure an accurate and timely security master and reference data systems while partnering with Trading and Trade Support. Provides leadership to team and establishes team and individual performance objectives. Manages relationships with third-party vendors. Identifies, drives, and implements process improvement initiatives. Delivers operational support in the new product and instrument pipeline as well as to firm’s broader strategic plans.

Responsibilities

Manage security reference data related activities enabled by ensuring an internal control environment producing industry-leading accuracy and timeliness. May involve complex securities and extremely tight deadlines. Bloomberg knowledge important, additionally experience with MSCI, Reuters, and Markit is helpful.

Brings significant understanding of the broader industry environment and security reference data trends to contribute to the refinement or redevelopment of processes, protocols, and/or technologies for an improved client experience. Knowledge of trade support and broader trade life cycle knowledge a plus, with understanding of IBOR and ABOR security reference system’s role in these functions.

Serves as subject matter expert for reference data and trade services processes. Works closely with securities trading, compliance, operations, relationship managers, technology teams and vendors to ensure a seamless and efficient client experience. Manages relationships with third-party service providers, ensuring quality and performance standards are met and holding them accountable to established service-level agreements. Assists with the evaluation and selection of third-party providers. Oversees transitions to the end-state infrastructure of outsourced providers. Basic SQL knowledge and data base querying experience a plus.

Manages processes and provides guidance to teams managed to ensure the implementation of new policies to follow regulations. Executes cross-departmental and cross-divisional initiatives designed to improve accuracy, generate efficiencies, and reduce risk.

QUALIFICATIONS

Required

Bachelor's degree or the equivalent combination of education and relevant experience AND

5+ years of total relevant work experience
