What youll do on a typical day:

* Assisting in the development and implementation of technologies
* Participating in a full Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) utilizing Agile techniques to deliver solutions
* Learning testing methodologies in support of manual and automated testing scenarios
* Developing a knowledge of the Release Management process utilized at XPO Logistics
* Working with business partners and technology teams to solve business problems and design solutions. Provide business analysis support and quality assurance
* Supporting system implementations, upgrades, and continued client support
* Assisting the team in new application roll outs, design and development, data migration, and database upgrades
* Providing assistance to our clients and employees in our IT Support Center
* Working on the administration and support of our IT apps. Gain exposure to modern programming frameworks, languages and technologies such as Java, Angular, Informatica, Python, Jupyter Notebooks, Looker Reports, Docker, Kubernetes, Google Cloud Platform, Oracle and Elastic Search.
* Meeting weekly/ monthly goals and objectives
* Taking the initiative to learn XPO IT from online resources and observing/ working alongside our talented IT employees

What you need to succeed at XPO:

At a minimum, youll need:

* Bachelor's degree or equivalent related work or military experience
* Experience with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and PowerPoint)

Itd be great if you also have:

* College project or internship requirement
* Strong time management skills
* Strong verbal and written communication skills; able to present clean, organized and thorough information and data appropriate for intended audience
