Basic Purpose:

The primary purpose of this position is responsible for communicating with facilities, copy services, applicants, and clients to obtain Attending Physician Statements in the most time efficient manner possible. This position is responsible for maintaining the production and quality standards that are set forth.

Eligibility for promotion to Medical Records Associations II requires that the production and quality standards set forth of the proposed position is met and maintained for a minimum of a rolling 3-months period.

Duties and Responsibilities:

The major functions of the position:

Responsible for communicating with facilities, copy services, applicants, and clients to obtain Attending Physician Statements in the most time efficient manner possible. This position may also be accountable for preparing and distributing requests, assisting in the distribution of records to clients, reviewing records, processing payments for records, downloading medical records, preparing authorizations/special authorizations, scanning, preparing FedEx labels, preparing request for mailing, sorting and filing.

Qualifications:

Education Preferred:

High School Diploma or Equivalent required.

Work Experience:

No previous call center experience is necessary

(Background in medical terminology, life insurance industry, or customer service preferred)
