The position is located in Denver, CO. The qualified candidate will assume Production Quality Assurance (QA) Lead responsibilities including leading Quality personnel responsible for Quality Engineering and Inspection tasks supporting Production (Manufacturing, Assembly, Test, and Launch Operations) of Space
Program products produced across Denver, Courtland, Stennis & Valley Forge.

This individual will have functional responsibilities for Production Quality leaders and will work closely with Production management in support of operations. Provide resource management to ensure that the right skills are being applied across programs as needed to ensure mission success and efficiency. Responsible for Quality organization personnel management functions including performance appraisals, setting and monitoring performance and development goals, and maintaining appropriate staffing levels of those individuals assigned to Production. Establish and maintain open and effective communications with the DCMA. Serve as the primary point of contact with the DCMA for matters affecting quality in Production.
Serve as the primary point-of contact to the Production management on Production quality matters. Ensure the quality of Production processes by establishing quality requirements and then verifying, and/or certifying that all end-items are conform to engineering requirements. Participate in product planning, contribute directly to design, procurement, manufacturing, and test decisions, impose quality controls on design, test, and manufacturing. Facilitate appropriate Corrective Action Boards. Provide a disciplined program for prevention, detection, assessment, and correction of enterprise discrepancies. Implement streamlined and consistent Production processes throughout the enterprise. Responsible for establishing and maintaining a business rhythm around interfacing with the designated LOB Points of Contact for Production Quality Engineering. Provide a monthly assessment of Production health based on metrics, trends and recent events with recommendations for corrective actions or improvements.

Basic Qualifications:
* Bachelors degree from an accredited college in technical discipline (e.g., engineering field) or equivalent discipline (e.g., math, physics, chemistry, etc.).
* Minimum of 10 years of related technical experience in satellite operations: Manufacturing, Assembly, Test, Launch Operations, or Quality.
* 5 years of prior leadership experience.
* Proven ability to develop and execute on enterprise affordability initiatives
* Demonstrated ability to proactively drive change and continuous process improvement
* Demonstrated effective management and leadership skills in working with both hourly and salaried employees.
* Must have experience in monitoring and maintaining budget allocations and providing input on capital improvements.
* Flight hardware program experience.
* Hands-on experience with the design, assembly and test of space flight hardware
* Proven decision making ability.
* Strong interpersonal skills, oral and written communication and organization skills.
* Ability to multi-task, be thorough and detail oriented, with strong job closure and analytical skills.
* Ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance and US citizenship required.
Desired Skills:
* Proven ability to manage Quality efforts in accordance with enterprise-level command media and Program specific requirements.
* A good working knowledge and understanding of LM Mission Success processes.
* A good working knowledge and understanding of ERP, EPDM, and VECAMs Systems
* Demonstrated knowledge of AS9100 Quality System requirements
* Demonstrated knowledge and experience of Nonconformance & MRB processes
* Strong knowledge of root cause analyses methodologies and demonstrated experience in the development and evaluation of effective preventive/corrective action plans
* Ability to proactively communicate and motivate (including presentation and customer interface skills). Including active listening and ability to mentor and develop employee skills
* A thorough understanding of LM Configuration Control processes
