Description:
Support the sustainment, maintenance, and operation of VH-92A pilot and maintenance training devices. Install components and assemblies into chassis, racks, cabinets, workstations, and customer facilities. Perform, conduct and document preventive maintenance checks required for the devices and associated subsystems. Update maintenance data collection records and assist with the installation and check-out of modifications to equipment. Maintains simulation devices to meet availability specifications. Applies technical knowledge to solve complex problems by interpreting design drawings, manuals or simulator documents. Assists with installations, testing, and maintenance of software packages. Isolates and reports malfunctions and discrepancies to the lowest definable levels. Documents and maintains cabling schemes and drawings. Establishes and performs maintenance programs following company and vendor standards. Additional duties and related responsibilities will be assigned as required.
The successful candidate will work closely with other members of the Lockheed Martin training team to fulfill VH-92Atraining objectives.
The successful candidate will implement and support Lockheed Martin initiatives, programs and policies as directed. Complies with site security and access control procedures in accordance with VH-92A program and customer procedures.
The successful candidate must have worked in an environment which required them to interact with multiple functional areas and personnel of a diverse nature.
Prior aviation simulator background is preferred.
Experienced with star topology networks and must have the ability to remove, replace, and rebuild network nodes.
Ability to perform system backups, restorations, and disaster recovery of Windows and Linux machines.
Advanced working knowledge of Linux Command Line Interfaces.
Experienced with creating administrator and service accounts, applying system wide software, and troubleshooting network failures.
Familiar with Information Assurance hardening to include applying patches, navigating and configuring group policies, and performing Assured Compliance Assessment Solution scans and Security Content Automation Protocol scans.
Basic Qualifications:

administrative/documentation skills
- Ability to work through highly complex
problems using engineering technical data,
wiring diagrams, test equipment, software
programs, serial communication platforms,
network analyzers and aircraft manuals
- Work independently and within a team
environment
Desired Skills:
- Technically minded with acute attention
to detail needed to perform highly critical
tuning and calibration of HD visual systems
- Six plus years experience with aviation
simulation systems. Proven hardware and
software support experience in a
training/modeling and simulation
environment
- Network troubleshooting and
maintenance experience
- Experience working in classified/access
