Lockheed Martin Aeronautics is seeking a Thermodynamics Engineer to continue our tradition of innovation in aircraft design and development. The selected candidate will join the Thermodynamics team to develop and analyze complex thermal management system architectures and structural temperatures for next generation air vehicle platforms.
- The selected candidate will be a member of a high-performing team supporting multiple projects concurrently in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. The candidate must be self-motivated with a strong work ethic, communication and presentation, time management, and interpersonal skills.
- The ability to travel occasionally for team interaction and project activities is required.
- Responsibilities include sizing and performance modeling of complex systems, performing trade studies, developing/refining required analysis and data reduction tools, and summarizing work and presenting to internal and external customers.
A level 2 employee Typically has 2 - 5 years of professional experience.

Basic Qualifications:
-- Experience with thermodynamics, conduction, convection, and radiation heat transfer
-- Bachelors degree from an accredited college in a related discipline, or equivalent experience/combined education
Desired Skills:
Experience with Matlab/Simulink, high-level programming language(s) (C, C++, Fortran, Python, etc.), and advanced engineering analysis and CAD packages is highly desirable.
-- Experience designing, integrating, or testing/qualifying engineering systems
-- Experience with finite-element modeling, thermal analysis, CFD, or subsystem analysis tools
