Description
* Create and maintain appropriate drawing and product documentation.
* Work closely with engineering and purchasing to create and maintain bills of material.
* Create cable and harness diagrams and drawings.
* Assist in the creation of assembly documentation.
* Make measurements or observations of shop and field installations to update documentation.
* Perform routine engineering computations.
* Prepare engineering change orders.
QUALIFICATIONS
* One-year detailed drafting experience, preferably in the high technology industry with emphasis on electro-mechanical drawing.
* Must have a general knowledge of the mechanical and electro-mechanical fields of design and be thoroughly familiar with recommended design/drafting standards.
* Must have 3D CAD proficiency and SolidWorks experience a plus.
* Proficiency in SolidWorks.
* Experience with EPDM and configuration management is a plus.
* Familiarity with GD&T per ASME Y14.5.
* Familiarization with cable design to supporting cable drawings.
* Experience preparing schematics, logic diagrams and block diagrams.
* Ability to generate mechanical assembly drawings and bills of materials.
* Ability to generate detailed fabrication drawings for machined components, sheet metal, PCBs and cable assemblies.
* Self-starter with the ability to work under limited supervision.
* Ability to acquire a security clearance if required.
