Job Description
* Requires in-depth knowledge and experience of Cepheid products and processes
* Uses best practices and knowledge of internal or external business issues to improve products or services to drive better system performance and decrease system down time.
* Impacts a range of customer, operational, project or service activities within own team and other related teams; works within broad guidelines and policies.
* Works closely with Global Product Support team in assisting with failure investigations
* Works with Engineering and Global Product Support teams to assist with improvements to better support field and customer
* Works with Service Engineering team on current system-related projects and participate in NPI programs as required representing the voice of field service.
* Support escalated Infinity systems, partnering with all stakeholders to find root cause and problem resolution, assisting with other field escalations as required.
* Has knowledge of best practices and how own area integrates with others; is aware of the competition and the factors that differentiate them in the market
* Ensure SOPs/Work Instructions are up to date and applicable.
* Contribute to salesforce knowledgebase for common errors in working with the FSE team.
* Provide feedback on most common errors/ issues to engineering
* Ensuring that all Infinity systems are at the correct and latest specification
* Work with Global Product Support & Service Engineering to ensure feedback is provided on root cause effectiveness.
* Develop engineer training improvements and recommendations.
* Deliver technical service training and continuing education to field service engineers
* They help determine the company's hardware, software, and data needs and make recommendations to Service Engineering and Global Product Support teams based on this information.
