POSITION SUMMARY:
The Global Supply Chain Accelerated Development Program provides participants the appropriate training and learning experiences that will prepare them for their first career position within the Company. The various parts of the program include the following:
An orientation to our Company and Division, including visiting the corporate headquarters in Cleveland, OH.
An overview of the operations within a paint plant, a specialty plant and a distribution service center (warehouse).
A total Supply Chain overview (from product concept to finished product) through online modules.
Transactional Lean, Accelerated Root Cause, and Six Sigma Training.
The Manufacturing Operations participant will also be assigned tasks and work on projects that will allow them to learn about the many different areas within the Operations function including:
accounting, batch manufacturing, filling department, filling supervision, maintenance & engineering, manufacturing supervision, quality lab, raw material procurement, raw material storage, shipping finished goods, site supply chain and warehouse supervision.
After completion of the first 9 months of the program, the employee will also gain an additional 6-9 months of experience as an acting supervisor within the plant, including time on an off-shift.
Basic Qualifications:
Must be at least 18 years of age
Must be legally authorized to work in country of employment without sponsorship for employment visa status now or in the future
Must be willing to relocate after graduation and upon completion of the Accelerated Development Program
Must have a four-year Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution
Must have a minimum overall GPA of 2.8
Other Qualifications:
A Bachelors degree in degree in Operations/Industrial Management, Supply Chain, Engineering Technology or a related field
Previous Internship, Co-op or work experience in a related field
Previous experience as a Sherwin-Williams Intern or Co-op
Previous internship or co-op experience in the Sherwin-Williams Global Supply Chain Division
Leadership experience as demonstrated by your involvement in extracurricular activities on campus or in the community
Strong communication skills both verbal and written
Problem solving ability
Organizational and time management skills
Project Management skills
