The Role
We are transforming technology and creating a digital evolution that will empower Centene to better serve our members. The Application Software Engineer (Pega) will be part of our core Automation Production Support Team responsible for supporting Pega BPM and RPA systems and minor enhancements.





As a Application Software Engineer (Pega) you will:



t
* Design, build, test and maintain scalable and stable off the shelf application or custom built technology solutions to meet business needs
t
* Contribute to the entire implementation process for new applications and enhancements to existing applications
t
* Will work to support automated solutions end to end
t
* Perform development work for minor enhancements and Pega BPM and RPA production support activities
t
* Meet with business partners to understand business needs
t
* Contribute to overall solution design
t
* Responsible for build and test of applications
t
* Conduct root cause analysis and complex performance tuning









Additionally, you'll bring



t
* Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, MIS, related field or equivalent experience
t
* 2+ years of related experience and/or software development experience. Healthcare experience a plus.
t
* Experienced in workflow design, configuration and process development, must understand business process concepts.
t
* Experienced in Java Script. Experienced in Web development using HTML, XLM, XSL, XSLT, jQuery, CSS and AJAX.
t
* Experienced in Agile methodology. Basic understanding of IT processes and disciplines (e.g. software development, operations, and infrastructure).
t
* Production Support experience.
t
* Hands-on experience with Business Process Management tools such as Pega BPM/Case Management.
t
* Hands-on experience in a Java and .NET/C development environment.
t
* Hands-on experience in designingimplementingmaintaining 3rd Party RPA Platforms such as Pega Robotics/Open Span, UI Path, Blue Prism, and Automation Anywhere.
t
* Hands-on experience in applying process assessments, improvement tools, and methodologies in transformation programs and/or line functions.
t
* Passion for digitalization and technological progress.
t
* Entrepreneurial and highly self-motivated personality with a strong ambition to drive change
t
* License/Certification:

ITIL Foundation preferred.
