Responsibilities
Center for Change is seeking Full-time and Part-time Eating Disorder Therapists (PhD, LMFT, LCSW, CMHC) to collaborate with the Center's multidisciplinary treatment team in providing therapy to outpatients at the Center. The Center's Philosophy:
The Center's philosophy on treating eating disorders focuses on providing patients with opportunities to explore and redevelop a healthy relationship with food, helping them eat intuitively according to hunger and fullness. Each patient at the Center receives individual counseling sessions with a dietitian, therapist, and medical professionals. Sessions go beyond teaching and include active intervention. Therapy focuses on increasing self-compassion, reframing negative thoughts, and radically accepting the patient's body.
Responsibilities:
Conduct assessments; provide individual, group, family and individual therapy; create a relapse prevention plan; coordinate care with the dietitians and medical staff; motivate patients in their recovery; teach patients new skills and behaviors which will contribute to a healthy lifestyle; and, facilitate discharge planning.
Qualifications
* Doctoral or Master's Degree in Psychology, Social Work, or Marriage & Family Therapy
* Minimum of 2 years' experience in mental health
* Professional licensure in the State of Utah in the relevant field of practice
* Previous experience in residential treatment preferred
* Experience with eating disorder treatment/therapy preferred
Salary: dependent upon experience
