Overview
The Network Connectivity and Switching Team is dedicated to growing MasterCard revenue from transaction switching and proprietary value-added services associated with switching. The Network Solutions team partners with Operations & Technology and Regional Partners to enhance the strategic fit, quality, efficiency and applicability of Mastercards network and services assets to suit customer needs. The team creates Product and Solutions offerings to drive product distribution and competitive advantage with merchants, processors, financial institutions, fintechs, and other industry participants.
The Network Switching Solutions Product Manager will support product operations for a multi-network product and requires industry experience working with issuer and/or acquirer transaction processing. In this capacity, the Product Manager will manage the operations of assigned products and feature/functions to optimize switching capabilities and ensure products are providing client value. This role works with the regional product group, customer facing staff, and other internal stakeholders to create new products, manage day-to-day operations, and ensure processes, procedures and documentation are in place to support product functionality.
Role:
Act as a subject matter expert to support regional product teams, clients, and other internal teams.
Works with product development and O+T to design and implement product enhancements
Creates both internal and external communications to inform internal stakeholders and customers of upcoming changes
Identifies enhancements and incremental products and services opportunities that can be developed and marketed to customers applying business case disciplines.
Works closely with the other global and regional teams to support product development requirements, execution plans, business case evaluation
Collaborates with internal teams to ensure that technical changes are reflected in client documentation, testing and internal processes and procedures.
Collaborates with regional teams to plan product launches and enhancement launches including training, support materials, operational and technical support.
Creates reporting and materials to track key initiatives, product performance, and project/program status.
All about you:
Experience in a product management role at a payment network or processor, gateway, financial institution or large merchant
Experience with issuer processing, acquirer processing, settlement and back office functions
Proven ability to be creative, execution oriented and collaborative with cross-functional teams
Ability to translate knowledge into concepts and opportunities for product and process enhancements
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
Experience working directly with clients
Technical writing skills a plus
