Job Title
Senior Software Engineer
Work on an emerging application that is high profile connecting many financial institutions with a wide range of available networks for transactions processing, clearing, and settlement.
You must have a drive to learn new development skills and the software engineering experience to analyze, research, develop, and troubleshoot issues. You will work in a high pace environment collaborating with senior engineers and partner with business owners, development teams, quality engineering resources, product owners, and project managers
Major Accountabilities:
- Member of the Network Gateway team responsible for testing, implementations, and troubleshooting
- Engage and coordinate with multiple software vendors and ensure quality of code being development and delivered to Mastercard meets the agreed upon requirements
- Oversee development tasks, code delivery, test planning, and test execution
- Responsible for design, programming, implementation, documentation, and maintenance of systems application software
- Participate in complex project implementation activities
- Ensure knowledge transfer of vendor technology to Mastercard staff
- Support collection and reporting of project and software metrics
- Create diagrams, flowcharts, documentation, and training material. Prepare technical project plans, estimate development tasks, and report and progress status
- Support Disaster Recovery and PCI certification activities. Evaluate requests to determine technical feasibility, develop technical alternatives and recommend optimal technical solutions
Desired Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering or equivalent experience.
- Advanced knowledge and understanding of software engineering concepts including waterfall and agile methodologies is required
- Demonstrate MC core competencies
- Comprehensive experience with the following: CONNEX, TAL, C, Java, Windows, Linux, File Transfer Protocols
- Previous knowledge of Data Navigator and disputes processing. Product and integration experience with FIS licensed applications and knowledge of gateway processing is a plus
