Job Description
JOB SCOPE/ SUMMARY:
Coordinate the safe and productive daily functioning of the warehouse in the shipment of orders
Enforce proper procedures regarding logging, storage, and loading or unloading of incoming inventory
Provide supervision and guidance to warehouse workers
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
1. Supervise the warehouse staff to ensure proper stock rotation.
2. Delegate and prioritize the picking of customer orders.
3. Ensure that all orders are shipped with the correct products, including all tinting.
4. Coordinate all shipping and receiving functions with trucking company representatives and the Corporate Transportation Department.
5. Release customer orders in the system PGI.
JOB QUALIFICATIONS:
EXPERIENCE/EDUCATION/TRAINING:
Educational attainment equivalent to high school graduation
Considerable stock control and warehousing experience
Work in a lead or supervisory capacity
KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES RECOMMENDED FOR POSITION:
Possess a clear understanding of supervisory principles and techniques
Ability to communicate effectively
Ability to organize and delegate orders to meet deadlines and to coordinate shipping of products on time
Ability to demonstrate operation and use of forklift, deep reach, lift truck, pallet rider, shrink wrap machine, tint machine and paint shakers
Ability to train warehouse center staff
Possess extensive knowledge of warehouse equipment set-up operations and maintenance
Compensation:
$16.06/hr. - $28.56/hr. Depending on experience
