In this role John Deere is seeking an E-Commerce user experience designer to provide research insights and recommendations to accelerate discussions and decisions early in the product development process.

Responsibilities:

John Deere is seeking an E-Commerce user experience designer to provide research insights and recommendations to accelerate discussions and decisions early in the product development process. The role will apply internal/external standards and best practices to create tangible visualizations that serve as the blueprint for front-end developers to turn a concept into a solution, while ensuring digital solutions are consistent with brand standards. Solutions enable moderate to highly complex processes involving an expanded and more diverse set of back-end systems. Leads and/or participates in the creation of the user experience (UX) strategy and standards for a narrow set of related solutions.

* Creates and designs elements or components resulting in high quality user experience designs.
* Incorporates branding and common design guidelines into products.
* Creates wireframes, mock-ups, prototypes and specifications.
* Maintains style guides for varying methods of delivery.
* Follows appropriate design methodology, tools, and protocols to conduct user-centered design.
* Translates analytics data into visual designs to support interpretation and generation of insights or vice versa.
* Monitors external patterns and trends and evaluates their impact on internal design philosophies.
* Performs research and makes recommendations for adopting relevant emerging design trends.

Required Qualifications:

As a User Experience Designer you will collaborate closely with Product, Marketing, and Software team members to deliver a best-in-class user experience to John Deere customers. In addition, you will:

* 3+ years experience in the design, development, testing, and integration of complex software solutions using Python, web sockets, and Restful APIs
* 3+ years of experience working with cross-functional teams, such as: engineering, software development, marketing, and business leaders
* Strong interpersonal communication skills and an ability to lead conversations and defuse conflicts
* High level of attention to detail and accuracy.
* Ability to deliver production-ready, clean and usable digital user interfaces across multiple form factors.
* Possesses working knowledge of core user interface languages.

Preferred Qualifications:

* Experience with image processing and associated tools (OpenCV)
* 2 or more years of experience with Sketch and InVision
* 2 or more years of experience facilitating workshops on specific need(s) for the job, discipline, function, unit, etc.
* Experience with agile development methodologies
* Experience with usability testing
* Experience applying a broad range of User Research tools

Education:

* Bachelor's degree in IT, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Graphic Design, Interaction Design, Industrial Design, or equivalent discipline or equivalent experience in a related career field
