Overview
Manages the day-to-day operations of the Patient Referral Center through implementation of strategy, policy, direction, and action plans dictated by leadership. The Manager will oversee 15 team members who process referrals and obtain all documents to admit patients for the agency. This leader also manages customer satisfaction and the overall operations of the department. Connects with Case Managers, Care Alliance, Branch leadership on referral acceptance, and triaging patient needs. Produces volume and productivity reports to leadership. Responsible for the efficient and purposeful integration of services with other areas and emerging delivery systems; inclusive of working with leadership to develop patient referral center services in other IU Health System facilities, and other entities defined by leadership. Operationalizes staffing plans, develops and implements processes to support patient referral center staff during peak call volumes. Provides direction and assistance with problem-solving; ensures adequate staffing and material resources are available to support preeminent patient care; and models service excellence in supporting patients, physicians, other IU Health facility personnel, and other customers who interface with the Patient Referral Center.
Requires strong knowledge of Healthcare; Home Health or Hospice Referral Center processes or Bachelors Degree with Healthcare industry experience
Requires 5-7 years of experience in Home Health and/or management role.
Preferrable current licensure as a Registered Nurse in the state of Indiana.
Requires effective written and verbal communication skills in both individual and group settings.
Requires the ability to organize and manage work to achieve performance expectations.
Requires the ability to promote teamwork and develop team members.
Requires a high level of interpersonal, problem-solving and analytical skills.
Requires extensive knowledge with MS Office tools such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, etc
