Our Infrastructure Specialists are responsible for keeping up with these latest and greatest of these changes and using their expertise to deliver solutions that meet the needs of our customers and products.

Your Role and Responsibilities

Our Infrastructure Specialists are responsible for keeping up with these latest and greatest of these changes and using their expertise to deliver solutions that meet the needs of our customers and products.

IT Specialists in this job role will have expertise in managing and operation of IT hardware, software, communications, and/or application solutions, and the resources required to plan for, develop, deliver, and support properly engineered IT services and products to meet the needs of a business. The scope of this job role includes preparation for new or changed services, management of the change process, and maintenance of regulatory, legal, and professional standards, management of performance of systems and services in relation to their contribution to business performance, and management of bought-in services including, for example, public network, virtual private network, and outsourced services. Typical examples of the deliverables are service-level reporting, risk, and contingency planning.

Required Technical and Professional Expertise
*Basic to Intermediate knowledge and experience with AIX, Linux, &/or other UNIX operating systems (i.e. Solaris, HP-UX) Installing, configuring, & updating operating systems on various IBM hardware types
*Basic to Intermediate knowledge and experience with middleware applications, i.e. Apache Web Server, mySQL, DB2, SVN
* Basic knowledge of Virtualization a plus
* Basic to Intermediate knowledge of TCP/IP Networking concepts & configuration. Includes ethernet, firewalls, network hardware & associated configuration
* Basic knowledge of shared filesystems (NFS ,GSA, AFS, GPFS) as at least a user, a plus
* Basic knowledge and experience with Windows Client/Server a plus
* Exposure to or basic knowledge of IT disciplines: backup & recovery, batch job scheduling, license server administration, shared file systems, performance monitoring/tuning, user id and access management, high availability concepts, data base admin and concepts, network connectivity
