Your Role and Responsibilities

The zPDT team is looking for an experienced Build Engineer who can modernize the way that we develop and build the zPDT product. Working closely with the Manager and Tribe lead you will be responsible for setting up CI/CD for multiple release streams, working with internal and external clients as well as helping to run both Internal and External Early Support programs.

Job Duties:

* Work with manager to develop Release Plan
* Help to execution based upon an agile development practice
* Responsible for tribe backlog, triage of problem reports
* Adds requirements from business, Offering Management to the tribe backlog
* Work with Manager on making sure backlog items are prioritized correctly
* Assisting Manager with driving all aspects of the development related deliverables which would include dependencies, legal, security, alphas, betas, etc.
* Establishing / assisting with sponsor user relationships
* Responsible to develop automated build/test capability (CI) for all zPDT streams
* Develop automated build system for several release streams

Required Technical and Professional Expertise
* Location: Must be located on the East Coast

* A minimum of 5 years of experience in Linux System Build
* Demonstrated experience in _CI/CD using Jenkins or other products
* Exposure to Multiple Linux distributions
* Experience with prior release management and project management
* Highly organized and detail-oriented
* Project management experience, and ability to effectively collaborate with other teams on requirements, schedules, and track completion
* Proficient with one or more project management tools Jira, Git, Aha etc.
* Prior experience running system builds for Linux with multiple distributions
* Proficient in Linux Scripting using Python and Bash

Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise
* Knowledge of the IBM Z and LinuxONE platforms and architecture
* Experience working is a small team
