Job Summary: Under limited supervision, designs, codes, tests and deploys software in all layers of the development life cycle. Provides the necessary documentation. Works with databases, APIs, servers, networks and various programming languages.
Duties/Responsibilities:
Support quality development practices and pursue new and better ways to build software
Foster an environment that produces high-quality code and services for customers
Actively participate in improving the code base by performing code reviews and mentoring developers from multiple agile teams
Demonstrate ability to implement new technologies and lead best practices (open source, Agile, etc.) Learn, understand, and work within current processes, but help to develop strategies for process improvements
Continuously improve and exceed the status quo: Code can always be improved, expressed more elegantly and simply, and higher in quality
Design, develop, enhance, debug, and deploy software applications
Troubleshoot production problems related to existing software applications
Research, design, and coordinate the conversion and/or integration of software products based on client requirements. Consult with project teams and end-users to identify application requirements
Participate in conceptualizing, prioritizing, and creating strategies for software products. Consult with business, solution, data, and enterprise architects to determine solution architecture
Resolve problems with software and respond to suggestions for improvements and enhancements
Participate in development of documentation, technical reports, user analytics, and application performance monitoring metric
Abilities/Knowledge/Skills Considered a Plus:
Experience with cloud computing tools and development methods
Experience developing, testing, and debugging new software or enhancements to existing software
Deep experience with JavaScript, HTML, CSS, and Angular, and NGRX. Familiarity and understanding of Java and the Spring framework.
Experience working with Angular 2/4/5/6/7/8 modules, services, templates, directives, services and dependency injection to create SPAs
Experience developing Rich Web Applications and accessing web services using Front End/UI technologies like object-oriented JavaScript, TypeScript, Angular, Media Queries, web components, and service workers
Experience developing, testing, and supporting accessibility standards and responsive web design
Experience in Unit Testing (UIT), Integration Testing and in preparing test cases
Utilize Jasmine, Karma, Gulp, Yarn, NodeJS, GitLab/GitLab CI, Jenkins CI, and NPM to build and test applications
Experience with various IDEs such as Visual Studio Code, Web Storm, Eclipse, and Sublime
Domicile: This position will be domiciled in Plano, Texas.
Remote Work: The ability to work remotely within the United States may be available based on business need.
Relocation: Relocation assistance may be available based on business need.
Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree in computer science, engineering, information systems or related field and/or equivalent formal training or work experience. Requires three (3) years qualifying work experience in information technology or engineering environment. A related advanced degree may offset the related experience requirements.
