Job Summary

There is one position which will be filled at the level commensurate with the successful candidates education, experience, knowledge, skills and abilities.
Support the identification, assessment and development of a continuous portfolio of utility scale renewable generation projects for the achievement of the companys clean energy goals.

Utilize GIS (Geographic Information Systems) to analyze spatial data through mapping software and various other data sets to evaluate potential site characteristics, such as considerations for a projects interconnection and impacts from a sites topography, wetlands, cultural resources, or other environmental features.

Identify, evaluate, rank, and track potential land acquisitions for potential utility-scale solar projects, including the assessment of site characteristics and the preparation of reports and presentations to senior management on the status of land acquisitions and the pipeline of project opportunities.

Develop and recommend enhancements to the companys GIS technology to better visualize and analyze data to aid in the companys project development processes and integrate new platforms or tools into the project development process.

Support the companys real estate team and external partners in the consideration and negotiation of potential landowner agreements for project development.

Create land acquisition strategies for the continued development of potential project sites.

Support the development team in the due diligence of project opportunities, including projects developed by the company and the potential acquisition of third-party assets.

Work seamlessly with the Project Construction, Real Estate, Environmental, GIS, External Affairs, Communications and Legal teams to deliver successful power generation opportunities.

Establish robust development and risk management frameworks for projects, while ensuring appropriate risk management tools and reporting systems are implemented and project risks are identified, analyzed and appropriately managed.

Support negotiations of key contracts and agreements and a smooth transition for acquisition and operation integration.

Perform analyses of varying complexity and assist in recommendations on certain opportunities.

Required Knowledge, Skills, Abilities & Experience

Business Development Analayst: 3 years of experience

Sr. Business Development Analayst: 7 years of experience

Both Positions:

* Knowledge of the energy business, including the development, construction and operation of renewable energy facilities.
* Strong proficiency with GIS platforms and the integration of data to analyze potential project sites.
* Expertise with mapping software utilizing geographic data and various other data sets.
* Demonstrated experience and proficiency in analytical, negotiation, and project management responsibilities including some leadership responsibilities.
* Understanding of financial projections and modeling.
* Strong oral and written communication skills.

Note: A partial year of related work experience of 6 months or more rounds to one full year of qualifications.
The company is actively seeking United States military veterans and service members who meet the qualifications.

Midlevel:
Military service members and veterans with ranks from E3-E5, W1-W2, or O1-O3, plus appropriate equivalent combination of education and years of experience as outlined.

Senior Level:
Military service members and veterans with ranks from E5-E9, W1-CW5, or O3-O6, plus appropriate equivalent combination of education and years of experience as outlined.
Education Requirements

Education Level: Degree or an equivalent combination of education and demonstrated related experience may be accepted in lieu of preferred level of education: Bachelor Degree Required.
