Avionics Test Engineering Team in Wilson, NC is seeking to fill a Sr Electrical/Software Engineering position with a motivated and talented individual. The individual will be responsible for developing and facilitating best practices for SW Architecture design for Automated Test Systems, designing and developing automated test SW as well as providing support to the Test Stations deployed at the factory floor (Expert on Call Support). The Engineer who fills this position must have strong troubleshooting and problem solving skills. This position utilizes software and hardware development and debug skills on multi-rack test stations. These test stations include but are not limited by the following COTs equipment: network analyzers, spectrum analyzers, oscilloscopes, DMM's, logic analyzers, power supplies and electronic loads. This position requires methodical engineering practices with excellent data gathering and analysis knowledge to solve problems. Performs research and engineering laboratory functions involving the layout, building, testing, troubleshooting, repairing and modification of electronic or electro-mechanical devices, test assemblies and subsystems. Other responsibilities and job requirements include but are not limited to the following:

Job Responsibilities

Be able to utilize internal processes, methods and tools for hardware and software development and documentation efforts.

Be a champion for best in class Automated Test SW Architecture

Lead test hardware and software design reviews and develop appropriate design documentation

Coordinate several projects and complex engineering activities while balancing priorities and schedules

Qualifications:

Experience with Test Equipment HW/SW design architecture

Software Experience:

C Experience (or C, C++)

LabView

Test Stand

Science, Technology, Engineering or Math degree required.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience with Electromechanical manufacturing and test

Tools Usage: ALM (JIRA, Confluence), SVN / GIT (Version Control Software)

Avionics Protocols/standards - ARINC

Understanding of Product Life Cycle - Requirements Capture (Turn a Requirements Document into Test Engineering Requirements), Design/Implementation, Validation/verification of Requirements

Gage R&R; / Data analysis

Software Experience:

Turbo Atlas Code

VB code

PLC

Basic Qualifications:

Bachelors degree and 5 years of relevant experience OR

Advance degree and 3 years of relevant experience OR

In absence of a degree, 9 years of relevant experience is required. US Citizenship required.
