Summary
Responsible for the conceptualization and strategy of design assignments with a strong focus on digital experiences and data visualization, along with the tactical production of these deliverables. Requires critical thinking, resourcefulness, a strong business acumen and ability to effectively communicate/socialize ideas. This role will also provide print design support as well.
Key Responsibilities
Produces strategic, focused and on-target design assets in support of marketing efforts using design software/tools to create digital and print content
Creates elevated data visualizations/infographics that transform traditional data and information into clear, sophisticated experiences that enhance user understanding
Delivers digital experiences with intuitive user interfaces
Explore and identify new tools/software to elevate digital content
Can lead brainstorming sessions and consistently bring innovative solutions to clients/stakeholders
Is adept at presenting work and has strong written and verbal communication skills
Is able to multi-task efficiently, manage complex workflows and meet deadlines
Is accurate in their work and has the ability to quality control their own assignments
Collaborates with internal clients to determine project strategies and layout approaches
Is able to maintain consistency and creatively thrive within a branding system
Is adept at creating original designs in both print and web using established design applications/coding languages, including but not limited to - InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, HTML, CSS, JavaScript and Dreamweaver
Provides design advice to clients and creative guidance, ideas and best practices to junior design colleagues
Provides oversight and ensures alignment with other design work being performed within a LOB, team, product, office or hub
Mentors and trains other designers and may conduct trainings on design applications, tools, resources, etc.

No formal supervisory responsibilities in this position. Provides informal assistance such as technical guidance, and/or training to coworkers. May lead project teams and/or plan, supervise assignments of lower level employees.
Qualifications
Bachelor of Fine Arts or Masters of Fine Arts degree preferred with a minimum of five to ten years of related experience and/or training
Expertise in creation of data visualization and infographics with a focus on digital experiences
Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Strong organizational and analytical skills. Ability to provide efficient, timely, reliable and courteous service to internal clients. Ability to effectively present information and/or ideas
Ability to comprehend, analyze, and interpret complex documents. Ability to solve problems involving several options in situations. Requires strong analytical and quantitative skills
Must have a superior understanding of the fundamental concepts of print and web publishing and graphic design principles. Advanced skills in Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, HTML, Adobe Dreamweaver, CSS, JavaScript and MS Office. Strong project management skills required. Basic editing and writing skills required
