Sr. Investment Reporting Analyst

Job Description

CBRE is seeking to place an Investor Reporting Senior Analyst within CBREs Investment Accounting & Reporting team based in downtown Los Angeles. The position will provide investor reporting services to one or more CBRE clients including both periodic and ad hoc financial and investment reporting to the limited partner investors in private funds.

The Investor Reporting Senior Analyst must have a strong understanding of finance and accounting concepts in the private equity fund industry, strong familiarity with Microsoft Word and PowerPoint, and exceptional proficiency in Microsoft Excel.

Responsibilities:

* Manage investor reporting portal, including posting documents and updating investor contacts, permissions and login rights
* Review, edit and proofread quarterly and annual financial statements
* Prepare and review quarterly investor update presentations
* Respond to investors quarterly financial questionnaires and coordinate database submission
* Prepare audit confirmations for investors annual audits, logging the confirmations and tracking due dates and completion status
* Monitor the Investor Reporting mailbox, summarizing action items for the Investor Reporting team
* Maintenance and verification of investor wire instructions
* Maintain investor commitments data in GL

EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE

Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance or related field OR equivalent combination of education and experience. Minimum 4+ years professional level accounting or finance experience.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Strong organizational and analytical skills. Ability to provide efficient, timely, reliable and courteous service to customers. Ability to effectively present information. Proven ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing, and interact effectively with management, employees, representatives of federal and state governments, and external auditors. Ability to collect, analyze, and summarize data and prepare clear, concise financial reports. Must have ability to convey complex financial issues to nonfinancial users.

FINANCIAL KNOWLEDGE

Requires good knowledge of financial terms and principles. Ability to calculate intermediate to advanced figures such as percentages, discounts, and/or commissions. Conducts intermediate to advanced financial analysis.

REASONING ABILITY

Ability to comprehend, analyze, and interpret documents. Ability to solve problems involving several options in situations. Requires intermediate to advanced analytical and quantitative skills. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram or schedule form.

OTHER SKILLS and/or ABILITIES

Advanced skills in Microsoft Office suite applications. Ability to design and produce various adhoc reports. Advanced knowledge of computer applications related to real estate accounting, financial management systems or performance calculation software.
