Under general supervision and following established policies and procedures, performs and records ultrasound diagnostic tests, integrates pertinent patient history and supporting clinical data to facilitate optimum diagnostic results, records anatomical pathological and or physiological data, records and processes sonographic data. Ensures ultrasound tests are of accurate quality. Complies with and participates in maintaining an environment which supports St. Joseph Medical Center Philosophy, Mission, and Values of Spirit.

MINIMUM KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:

Work Experience:

* Approximately 12 months cardiac sonographer, with direct patient experience required.
* A.R.D.M.S. or C.C.I. registration preferred. If prospective candidate is not registered at time of employment, associate will have 1 years / 18 months from first day of employment to successfully complete and pass the Cardiac Ultrasound Registry though either ARDMS or CCI or forfeit their employment.

Education & Training:

* Completion of clinical and classroom education to qualify for ARDMS or CCI registration.
