The Manager or Sr. Manager, Global Pricing and Payer Access Solutions will implement and ensure adherence to pricing and reimbursement strategies for Biogen products, i.e. he/she will serve as price management and implementation point of contact covering all therapeutic areas. He/she will work collaboratively with the product leads to support local price negotiation strategies, innovative access schemes and manage deviations from global price policy. This individual will be expected to partner cross-functionally with Biogen Intercontinental Region (BIR) regional market access, finance, business operations, decision support and country-based affiliate personnel. The BIR region consists of LATAM, APAC and MART (Middle East, Africa, Russia and Turkey) areas.

The Manager will collaborate on pricing and reimbursement strategies for Biogen products for BIR and ensure access to Biogen products in line with the companys commercial objectives.

Implement pricing strategy of assigned products

Provide necessary pricing support to BIR regional market access leads when addressing country market access challenges

Support affiliates in preparation of business cases and price change approval requests

Ensure price change decisions are made and approved according to governance process

Continuously evaluate the governance process to increase its effectiveness

Redefine the Pricing Business Case and ROI model

Train affiliates on Pricing Business Case and ROI development as well as the governance process

Analyze pricing data and identify opportunities to improve business results

Set floor prices in collaboration with Brand Access Leads

Develops BIR launch plans and launch sequences

Collaborate in tendering strategies and innovative access schemes

Collaborate with Affiliates and BIR regional market access to develop appropriate tendering and innovative schemes strategies

Provide pricing inputs to forecasting in collaboration with finance and BIR regional access

Lead price forecasting process for assigned products

Scan horizon for anticipated price actions

Work with BIR finance during the Annual Operating Plan and Long-Range Plan development process

Support Annual, Long Range and other forecasting from a pricing perspective, accounting for International Reference Pricing and expected pricing events in markets (Forecasting)

Competitive intelligence

Key member of the BIR Launch Readiness Team for competitive intelligence

Provide price scenarios and launch timelines.

Maintain pricing database, is the expert of pricing tools and supports with pricing analytics.

Maintain up to date and accurate pricing data in our system

Ensure affiliate users are fully trained on system use and price governance processes and utilizes the system

Support the preparation of executive dashboard summaries of price/reimbursement performance in the markets

Proactively work with BIR LT to ensure the dashboard provides value and is reevaluated on a regular basis

Manage the International Price Referencing tool to inform F3, F6, AOP and LRP, and ensure all relevant management is aware of forecasted pricing events

Qualifications

Minimum of 3-5 years for Manager and 5+ years for Sr. Manager- hands-on experience in relevant market access, reimbursement role within the biopharmaceuticals industry or consulting.

Strong technical understanding of pricing, reimbursement, access with hands-on experience in particular geographies and demonstrable track record.

Experience managing partners, distributors or alliance liaisons highly preferred.

Bachelors in finance, economics or health economics

Sound knowledge of local health care systems and pricing and reimbursement requirements.

Strong project management skills.

Demonstrable experience in managing multiple cross-functional projects and external vendors.

Ability to communicate succinctly and clearly

Demonstrates relationship building skills at all levels of the organization and across geographies

Strong cross-functional teamwork skill

Education:

Bachelors Degree required. Finance, economics or health economics preferred.
