The Opportunity
The Manager of the Deposits & Consumer Strategy Business Operations team will primarily support the strategic planning and business performance processes within Deposits. This includes execution of business and financial reporting, as well as leadership of various cross-functional management routines centered on business performance and initiative updates. Additionally, the Manager will assist in establishing and integrating new executive management routines across the Consumer Bank businesses.
Success in this role requires an extensive understanding of consumer financial services, strategic thinking, and collaboration. The Manager must possess a mindset geared towards improvement and a bias for action, and be able to manage projects at the same time in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
The Work Itself
* Manage execution of the D&CS team's reporting and business performance updates. Requires experience reporting on financial / P&L performance and operating metrics
* Manage several Deposits business operating routines; lead all aspects of business processes and controls to ensure effective financial and strategic planning, ongoing management of budget and initiatives, etc.
* Assist in development and implementation of a new Consumer Bank (Deposits, Invest, Home, and Lending) performance framework and Executive management routine (e.g., establish KPIs, build out reporting, etc.)
* Act as a leader and change agent to solve sophisticated problems and drive continuous improvement across business operations and the Deposits business
* Analyze data, evaluate scenarios, and synthesize output to present a clear, simple story to leadership
* Effectively manage strategic risk. Accountable for accuracy and quality of D&CS strategic reporting. Supervise and improve controls for strategic and financial planning processes. Support Regulatory Exams and Audits as needed
The Skills You Bring
* +5 years' experience in financial services. Prior consulting experience desired but not required
* +3 years' experience of Finance experience, or a related role
* Extensive experience with financial modeling, analysis
* Ability to foster collaborative, trusted partnerships in a diverse and highly matrixed environment
* Must demonstrate strong critical thinking skills and be comfortable working with abstract and sophisticated concepts
* Motivated to seek out solutions to complicated problems
* Excellent oral and written communication
* Experience presenting ideas and solutions to leaders at all levels
* Sophisticated skills with Excel & PowerPoint are required
