Our location in Abbott Park, IL currently has an opportunity for a Demand Analyst.

The newly created Demand Analyst role will support the overall Demand and S&OP process for Abbott Nutrition International HQ. The role will be assisting the overall S&OP process by collecting, validating and summarizing the inputs coming from Areas and Affiliates, as well analyzing the demand submissions and liaise with Demand/Area Managers to identify any risk and opportunities.

WHAT YOULL DO

* Support the monthly S&OP process in collecting and reviewing forecast changes (volume and value, manufacturing sites and brands), disconnects from RLBE, Channel KPIs, ad hoc analysis
* Demand analysis: in depth review of forecast changes and trends, align with Areas and Affiliates in identify any risk and opportunities to the latest forecast. Expected to help also with Ad-hoc analysis required to support ANI management in any decision or questions
* Forecast Accuracy: collect and validate Route Cause for monthly error rate, support affiliates in determine next steps to correct error rate and improve overall use of Forecast Error rate in local S&OP process
* Support ANI Demand Lead in liaison with Supply Chain for management of constrained lines and prioritization/allocation decisions
* Support ANI Demand Lead in LTP (long term planning) process: from mapping and organizing the starting data to summarize and present to management the key trends, changes and focus areas
* Support ANI Demand Lead on onboarding new Demand Managers both in terms of S&OP process expectations as well use of system and tools; map current local S&OP process and identify gaps and improvements' opportunities
* Support ANI Demand Lead on initiatives and projects linked to the newly established Center of Excellence, in both collecting and analyzing any data as well identifying areas of improvement and new processes and tools required to improve overall demand forecasting

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE, YOULL BRING

Required

* Bachelors degree in Engineering, Accounting, Finance or Business Administration.
* 3-5 years of Forecasting and/or supply chain planning and management, financial experience.
* Having worked at an affiliate is a strong plus.

Preferred

* Understanding of Demand Planning and Forecasting methodology as well S&OP process
* Experience with forecasting application software SAP/APO preferred.
* Understanding of Supply Chain planning process and relationship with demand planning
* Analytical and problem-solving skills; ability to identify and concisely communicate the business implications of forecasts and actual results.
* Excellent communication, interpersonal skills and adaptability to different culture and communication styles as this role interfaces across countries all over the world
* The individual must be highly motivated and have a desire to innovate. The ability to work independently and proactively identify improvement opportunities is essential
* Candidate should be able to work under pressure, consistently meet deadlines and direct activities on several projects at one time.
* Role Requires effective communication skills with all levels of management, inside and outside of finance
* Candidate must possess strong PC/system skills; specifically Excel and PowerPoint with the ability to learn new systems quickly.
