Responsibilities:

* Build Team Leader and Team Member capability
* Create a conducive work environment for the team(s) to complete their assigned responsibilities / tasks
* Basic administration of supervisory responsibilities and documents
* Work independently with limited supervision
* Assign work to unionized hourly workforce and hold employees accountable for following processes pertaining to daily work assignments in terms of safety, quality, and efficiency
* Display strong organizational and administrative skills
* Multi-task in a fast paced manufacturing environment
* Display strong problem-solving and conflict management skills
* Use MOS tools to operate a proactive maintenance team, increase the MTBR and reduce the MTTR.
* Use constraint management to prioritizes actions needed to improve the departments performance in thruput, quality and cost.
* Create a safe environment by ensuring all safety training is completed in a timely manner, MSS are completed on time and audits to ensure that safety procedures are followed correctly.
* Communicate status verbally and written clearly and concise to managers, co-workers and employees.
* Handle resources and general stores spending to meet budget requirements.
* Must have mechanical and electrical understanding of equipment to understand capabilities and options.
* Monitor efficiency of PM/CWO system and skill level of trades thru periodic job observations. Develop plans to address any shortfalls.

Work Schedule:

* Work schedule is a 7 on/7 off schedule (Friday thru Thursday) with hours from 7 to 7 day shift or midnight shift. Candidates need to be flexible and willing to work on days off to cover vacations/absenteeism. Must be willing work either shift as the role is subject to rotation rotating.

Minimum Requirements:

* High School Diploma or GED
* 1+ years maintenance supervisor experience in a manufacturing environment
* 1+ years of experience with Microsoft Office

Preferred requirements:

* Bachelor's Degree
* Safety and Quality experience preferred
* Automotive experience preferred
* Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing principles
* Knowledge of constraint management principles
* Successful candidate should be able to demonstrate leadership in One FORD (leadership) behaviors combined with outstanding interpersonal, teambuilding, and communication skills
* PLC control logix programming experience

Ford Motor Company is an American multinational automaker that has its main headquarter in Dearborn, Michigan, a suburb of Detroit. It was founded by Henry Ford and incorporated on June 16, 1903. The company sells automobiles and commercial vehicles under the Ford brand and most luxury cars under the Lincoln brand. Ford also owns Brazilian SUV manufacturer Troller, an 8% stake in Aston Martin of the United Kingdom and a 32% stake in Jiangling Motors.It also has joint-ventures in China (Changan Ford), Taiwan (Ford Lio Ho), Thailand (AutoAlliance Thailand), Turkey (Ford Otosan), and Russia (Ford Sollers). Ford introduced methods for large-scale manufacturing of cars and large-scale management of an industrial workforce using elaborately engineered manufacturing sequences typified by moving assembly lines; by 1914, these methods were known around the world as Fordism. Ford's former UK subsidiaries Jaguar and Land Rover, acquired in 1989 and 2000 respectively, were sold to Tata Motors in March 2008. Ford owned the Swedish automaker Volvo from 1999 to 2010. During the financial crisis at the beginning of the 21st century, it was close to bankruptcy, but it has since returned to profitability. Ford was the eleventh-ranked overall American-based company in the 2018 Fortune 500 list, based on global revenues in 2017 of $156.7 billion. In 2008, Ford produced 5.532 million automobiles and employed about 213,000 employees at around 90 plants and facilities worldwide.
