About the Role

The Senior Quality Assurance Lead sits in our Digital Solutions Group and is vital in delivering quality customer-facing banking applications to our Consumer and Wealth customers.  This role offers an opportunity to grow your skills in quality assurance, leadership, technology, and team-building.  As an active member of high-functioning Agile teams, you will ensure QA testing and processes are efficient and effective in delivering quality products within the defined sprint timelines and goals.

You will support strategic goals across the enterprise by developing and executing formal test plans, defining and tracking key quality assurance metrics, and performing quality audits. You will be exposed to various technologies and lead both onshore and offshore tester teams.

How You'll Spend Your Time

You will take the lead in developing the test strategy, test case writing, and testin activities for the projects you support.
You will implement and drive technologies and processes that mature DevOps and Test Automation.
You will lead and mentor other QA analysts.
You will work out of Jira and Confluence to regularly monitor work progress and make sure the QA team is on pace to meet deadlines.
You will work closely with both onshore and offshore QA teams to ensure any roadblocks are eliminated as quickly as possible.
You will assist in the attestation of the quality of builds deployed to production through regression
You will facilitate meetings when necessary and be comfortable addressing an audience that might include some executives.
You will use, report, and enhance KPIs to monitor and report progress.

ATTENTION TO DETAIL:  You must be thorough and accurate in your data analysis and solicitation of requirements to provide the best information.

TECHNICAL SKILLS:   Because you are an expert, it is vital to be tech-savvy. You will need extensive knowledge of the software development process, including tools and technologies such as Jira, Confluence, web and mobile app testing, ReadyAPI, SoapUI, Postman, and MicroFocus’s Quality Center tool. It would be best if you had experience writing scripts and running test automation using Selenium and Appium frameworks.

COMMUNICATION:  You must be an effective communicator and be able to drive resolution for complex tasks.  Your ability to communicate complex ideas in an understandable way is critical.

RESULTS ORIENTED:   You show initiative as you focus on the desired deliverables while meeting and exceeding your goals.

PROBLEM SOLVER:  You can track and solve complex problems in a variety of situations and function effectively in rapidly changing or uncertain conditions. 

Education & Experience Requirements

This level of knowledge is normally acquired through completion of a Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Management Information Systems, or related discipline with an information technology focus and 10-12 years of directly related or equivalent combination of education and experience.  At least 2–4 years leading IT Quality Teams and 2-4 years of process improvement experience strongly preferred.  Prior experience in financial services industry is also preferred.
