Become a Financial Analyst/Senior Specialist at Southern California Edison (SCE) and build a better tomorrow. In this job, youll be a key member of the FP&A team for SCEs competitive telecommunications business (Edison Career Solutions - ECS) and will work with leaders in ECSs Finance, Sales, Engineering, and Operations departments to define and deliver the business/financial strategic plan, develop long-term forecasts, and build business cases and investment analysis.

Edison Carrier Solutions (ECS), a business unit of Southern California Edison (SCE), is a competitive local exchange carrier with one of the largest wholly owned & operated telecommunications networks in the region. We are focused on the wholesale carrier and large business market offering high capacity telecommunications transport, Internet, and special access services. Our customers are regional, national, and international telecommunication carriers, cable television and satellite providers, wireless companies, internet service providers, governments, and large and medium enterprises.

A day in the life - Get ready to think big, work smart and shine bright!

* Apply expertise in finance, financial analysis, financial modeling and strategic thinking to help identify and resolve unusually complex issues.
* Support, contribute, and develop the annual 10-year business case models and presentations and opportunity specific business cases that have a major financial or operational impact to ECS.
* Gather information from sources both internally and externally and develop forecasts and ranges of financial outcomes for individual strategic opportunities.
* Determine main drivers for business success and likely areas of risk or weakness and recommend strategies to mitigate them.
* Support development of presentations and recommendations on whether to proceed on specific opportunities to ECS senior management.
* In coordination with SCE Finance, develop, maintain and govern the underwriting criteria for capital investment for ECS.
* Oversee and lead the development and maintenance of complex financial models used for business cases.

Qualifications
The essentials

* Five (5) or more years of relevant finance and business operations experience.
* Experience developing business cases, investment analysis, and driving implementation and adoption of financial assumptions.
* Experience building financial models.
* Proficiency in PowerPoint.

The preferred

* Bachelors degree or higher in Business, Finance, Economics or related field.
* Experience performing, developing, and implementing short-term and long-term financial analysis, financial planning and/or capital forecasting.
* Master of Business Administration or Finance or Strategy.
* CFA certification.
