Job Description

Nalco Water a division of Ecolab is seeking a Marketing Manager located in Naperville, IL to Manage the core marketing processes for the NA Power industry. Develop and execute a comprehensive strategy to grow the North America Power business platform that includes conducting assessment of the markets, customer segmentations, competition, channels and company by partnering closely with key regional & global stakeholders to clearly identify and prioritize to maximize market penetration and profitability, address competitive threats, and align on sales targets.

What You Will Do:

* Synthesize market, customer, competitive, and business insights into segment strategies
* Execute marketing, program, and pricing strategies which will meet profit objectives for the business unit
* Coordinate Customer Insights / Market Research projects including the development of quantitative and qualitative surveys, voice of customer interviews and market sizing reports
* Manage the segment Innovation Portfolio to support the strategy, market needs and growth expectations, utilizing the Phase Gate process to introduce and drive the execution and launch of innovation Specialty Chemical, Digital, Service and Equipment products in the Power industry
* Navigate complex matrix organization to include stakeholders in various functions and regions to deliver results on tight timelines. Communicate with all levels of the organization, both within and outside the business
* Manage a product line segment P&L; and implement margin enhancement activities for a business greater than $150M in annual sales
* Mange 2-3 Power Industry Technical Consultants (ITC)

Minimum Qualifications:

* Bachelors degree and 8 years of professional experience or MBA in Marketing with 5 years of experience
* Proficient with MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook and the Internet

Preferred Qualifications:

* Industry experience in the Power space.
* Business-to-business marketing experience
* Ability to relate to influential people and complex organizational structures strong interpersonal and relationship building skills
* Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of the organization
* Demonstrated initiative and leadership skills setting vision and strategy, planning, critical thinking, orchestrating cross-functionally, overseeing multiple project elements and proven track record of results
* Effective oral and written communication skills, organizational skills, good attention to detail and use of sound judgment in a fast-paced environment are essential
* Must have demonstrated initiative and ability to work independently and handle multiple tasks

This segment also produces and sells colloidal silica for binding and polishing applications in semiconductor, catalyst, and aerospace component manufacturing, as well as chemical industries. Ecolab Inc. sells its products through field sales and corporate account personnel, distributors, and dealers. The company was founded in 1923 and is headquartered in St. Paul, Minnesota.
