As a part of the Global Procurement Digital & Analytics team the individual will be responsible for analyzing internal and external market data to make recommendations and provide actionable insights improving sourcing outcomes. What You Will Do:
* Understand how changing external market dynamics impact the cost of material sourcing and the downstream impact on products, divisions, and customers.
* Mine and analyze data across multiple ERP systems to deliver key insights, make recommendations, generate meaningful outputs, and convey structural opportunities.
* Gather, analyze and consolidate a wide range of market and economic information relating to the industry and the broader economy to provide a basis for sourcing strategies. These include government and industry publications, news services, price discovery services, consultant and other subscription services, and other sources of market information.
* Capture commodity market data and create comprehensive market summaries that will aid in sourcing strategies
* Experience building operational reports, KPIs and dashboards
* Position will take collaborate closely with supply chain finance and chemical sourcing leaders globally
Minimum Qualifications:
* Bachelors degree
* 5+ years of experience in data & analytics within procurement, marketing, RDE, finance or supply chain
Preferred Qualifications:
* Degree in chemistry or chemical engineering preferred
* Advanced analytics experience leveraging modern digital tools like R, Python, SQL
* Strong capabilities with BI visualization tools such as PowerBI, Tableau, or Microstrategy (PowerBI Preferred)
* Experience in data science with data processing methods, data modeling, statistics, and machine learning
* Experience in spend data and market analysis with proven ability to convey knowledge and insights
* Experience with managing and delivering multiple projects, tasks, and initiatives simultaneously
* Strong communication skills, verbal and written, including the ability to present to organizational leaders
* Experience in the petrochemical industry a plus
