Job Description

Citigroup Global Markets Inc. seeks a Banker, Director for its New York, New York location.

Duties: Involved in full deal process from research, origination and structuring to execution. Source new and manage existing client relationships to originate deals by actively screening opportunities with partners throughout Citis Banking, Capital Markets, and Advisory and Markets businesses, and relationships with financial and legal advisors, and investors. Structure senior secured credit facilities (primarily asset based credit facilities) for non-investment grade companies across all industries to finance in- and out-of-court restructurings, working capital, corporate growth, acquisitions, leveraged buyouts, and recapitalizations. Advise clients based on due diligence and analysis conducted, including financial models that assess cash flow projections of borrowers and capital structure implications from sensitivity analyses of proposed transactions. Manage, mentor and train Vice Presidents, Associates and Analysts to perform economic analysis, quantitative financial analysis, and company-specific analysis, utilizing the resulting economic/financial data to prepare reports for management, internal teams, and clients. Collaborate with product partners across equity capital markets and debt capital markets to finance companies. Present due diligence conclusions and financing recommendations to Citis business and risk committees. Review and analyze financial models for valuation purpose and operating forecasts of companies across various industries including metals & mining, oil & gas, power & utilities, consumer, retail, autos, airlines, transportation and general industrial industries. Syndicate deals to investors. Assess the potential of company reorganizations and the impact of the current and forecasted economic environment on feasibility of financing these companies. Evaluate developments and trends in legal and financial technologies to structure credit facilities. Structure secured credit facilities throughout Europe and Asia. Supervise Vice Presidents, Associates and Analysts from origination to execution. Communicate and negotiate with the company and investors on legal documentation. Work in conjunction with field examiners and appraisers to assess the value of collateral. Work with lawyers to draft and review bankruptcy court documents. Review bankruptcy court documents to assess financing opportunities. Supervise the drafting of information memoranda, rating agency and lenders' presentations. Work with lawyers to structure and document credit and security agreements while working with Citis internal lawyers to ensure that they meet Citis legal standards and product policies.

Requirements: Requires a Bachelors degree in Economics, Business, Finance or related field and 10 years of progressive, post-baccalaureate experience as an Analyst, Associate, Banker or related position involving originating, structuring, syndicating and executing capital markets products. 10 years of experience must include: Debt capital markets origination, structuring and execution; Economic and financial modeling, valuation and accounting principles; Negotiating business terms and legal documentation; Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Bloomberg, Reuters, CapIQ; Coordinating with borrowers/issuers, financial advisors, legal advisors, investors; Client relationship management; Metals & mining, oil & gas, power & utilities, consumer, retail, autos, airlines, transportation and general industrial industries; Relationships with financial and legal advisors. At least 6 years of experience must include structuring credit facilities with collateral in Europe and Asia. Requires 15% domestic and international travel.
